The PAFC 'Beautiful Boys of Anime' contest is now open.

Your entry may contain just a single character from an anime, more than one character from a single anime, or a mix of characters from different animes.

The Popular Anime Fanart Contest (PAFC) is a contest for artists who enjoy drawing popular anime characters.

The contest will be run 3 times a year (i.e. every four months - allowing three months for preparation and submission of entries followed by one month for judging and posting of the next contest specifics).


Prizes are:
1st place - $60 (Australian dollars)
2nd place - $30 (Australian dollars)
3rd place - $10 (Australian dollars)
[either funds transfer via paypal or Amazon gift certificates for the above amounts]


RULES:
You may enter 2 entries per individual contest.

Submit your entry/ies by posting a response with link in the comments section of this journal. Your entry will then be selected to this accounts 'Favourites' section.

Entries must be made specifically for the contest.

Enter art that you have drawn and coloured yourself - no collaborations please.

The winning artwork from each individual contest will be transferred to this accounts gallery page. The favourites section will then be cleared prior to the opening of the next contest.

Winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters) will be asked to judge the next contest and not participate in that particular contest. [Fun entries may be entered though - see below].

Artists winning three contests (in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place) will be written up on the 'Shoutboard' but may not enter future contests except for Fun entries. [This is too encourage new artists etc].

Fun entries that are marked as 'Not for judging' may be submitted.


Your fanart must meet dA's policy on fanart in that there is:
- no direct tracing or precise duplication of another existing work so it is difficult to tell your work from the original, so be certain to add your own personal touches and style.
- unacceptable submissions would include screenshots, scans, or 'seeded' images (images that are manipulated, coloured over, blended with other images or digitally worked over).
- nudity or mature content must follow dA's policies.


There is no entry fee to participate in this contest.
